18 months old!!! Where does the time go......

Jensen has finally hit the 18 month mark. It is insane how fast time flies. I can remember the days when he was dependent on me and I fed him formula all day long. The days where he would fall fast asleep on my chest. It just brings tears to my eyes! I will definitely cherish those memories forever. Each phase of his life brings something new, interesting and exciting though.

Jensen is growing up to be a very smart little boy. He practically repeats everything you say. It is funny because all his words sound like questions. The word starts out low and gets increasingly high pitched at the end! Some of his words are, mama, dada, mommy, daddy, papa, nanny, mammy, glammy, mia, poppy, megan, jj (aj), dog, cat, bird, duck, chloe, gemma, bye, see you, up please, down please, MINE, baby, juice, milk, bath, diaper, clean, cookie, bob (the builder), elmo, oscar, fish, bottle, nina, ethan, about half the alphabet he can repeat, the list goes on. He knows if you say 1, he will then say 2 and if you say 2 he will say 3.
He enjoys watercoloring and coloring. Sometimes he decides to eat them, which is not very tasty! He has 4 top front teeth, he is getting a molar on the upper left side. He has 3 front teeth on the bottom and a back molar on the bottom left and right. The teething process has been extremely slow and painful. Not only for him, but for his parents!!
He has battled about 4 or 5 ear infections this year. If he gets another one, we are going to the specialist. :( Jensen goes back for a re-check on his ears soon, so we will see what the outcome is.

He is probably over 24 pounds now and about 32 1/2 inches. I honestly have no clue how he even weighs that much, because he is not interested in eating much. He has become quite opionated when it comes to eating. He used to love everything under the sun. That has definitely changed. He is big on all kinds of fruits, which is nice. Veggies, not so much! He does not like a lot of meat either. He used to devour pastas - not anymore. He does like eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches. I ended up starting him on Flinstone vitamins.
I am so lucky, because my mom is still watching J-co while I work. We have been so blessed she has taken on this huge responsiblity! I feel bad for her because lately he has developed a bit of a temper and is more independent than ever! I think we are moving into the "terrible 2s" already! We shall see how this progresses!

For Jensen's 18 month pictures, we took him to Old Town Spring. Since he is so mobile, it was a great place for him to check everything out. He looked absolutely gorgeous in his pics. He looks like a little model!

We also wanted to do some family shots in the Woodlands a few weeks after these were taken. It ended up just being me and Jensen. Justin was called into mandatory overtime and had to miss out. I have a sneak peek of the pictures and they look fantastic!

We are trying to stay busy this summer and do something fun for the little man constantly. We've checked out some nice parks in the area. A lot of pool time. Unfortunatley we can't take too many walks in this 100 degree weather.

This past weekend he went to the Aquarium with me, Jodi and Ethan and then on Sunday to the pool. Next weekend we will be checking out the Children's Museum in Houston. We are looking forward to that! And probably some more pool time.

Until next time......
