Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Man this year has just flown by! We had Christmas at my mom's the Friday before Christmas. Both sets of my grandparent's were there, Mom and Nolan, Dad, Aunt sandra, newly engaged Megan (sis) and Aj and of course me, Justin and Jensen! It was a wonderful time. Jensen got to have a trial run at opening presents before the "big day".

We enjoyed Christmas at our house this year. I can't describe the feeling of celebrating Jensen's first Christmas with him, but it was outstanding! Santa brought little Jensen wonderful gifts that hopefully he will begin to enjoy. He is in love with the massager my mother-n-law bought for Justin. He rubs it all over his face and back. It is hilarious!

Enjoy the pics!

Unexpected week!

Chris and Jen visit with Jensen.

Dad gets to spend some quality time with his grandson.

Grandpa Ray is full of smiles while he visits with Jensen.

First Thanksgiving together!!! Happy Thanksgiving 2008!!!

It's been awhile since we have signed on! So many things have happened! We got a call the day before Thanksgiving to tell us Grandpa Ray (Justin's Dad) had been admitted to the hospital. He had a blockage in his heart that was 90% blocked!!! He had to have emergency bypass surgery. We headed home, packed and drove to Austin when we got the news. The surgery went well and he is recovering nicely. Since we were originally going to Trinity for Thanksgiving we did not have any plans in Austin. A good friend of Ray's gave us an entire Thanksgiving meal that the 3 of us enjoyed. Jensen loved the mashed potatoes, dressing, turkey and cranberry sauce. He even liked the pecan pie filling! Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Future Longhorn

On Friday, Mom, Jensen and I met my grandparent's at the lovely Cracker Barrel for lunch. We had a nice time and Jensen found himself a new Longhorn rocking chair. It was love at first site. My dad is so proud! This will probably be a Christmas present from his parents.

Jensen is moving right along in his development! He has learned to clap over the weekend!!! I was talking on the phone to my dad and all the sudden I looked down and Jensen was clapping! I couldn't believe it. I am so proud of him! Another new thing Jensen loves to do is dancing. I will have to post a video of him busting a move.

Off to bed for another day at work!

Trick or Treat!

Jensen had a really big day on his first Halloween! To start the day, I had my hair done and Jensen had his first professional haircut by Phoenix. She did an awesome job on his hair despite the fact he was a major wiggle worm! He has a faux hawk now. It is adorable. After we left the salon, we attempted to vote in The Woodlands. We got up to the polling location and I forgot my purse. Jensen and I headed back to the house and left Justin in the LONG line. He was at the front by the time we returned. Jensen was sooooo ready to get out of the car. After over an hour wait in the line, they said we could not vote there on a limited ballot! We had to drive all the way into Conroe in Friday 5 pm traffic. NO FUN! We had to do it yesterday, because it was the last day to vote on a limited ballot and change our county. :( So, Jensen got to experience voting too! After we were finished, we got home around 7pm and had to change him into his turtle costume and take him trick or treating! He was absolutely precious in his turtle costume. He really enjoyed trick or treating and sucking on the tootsie pop. After such an eventful day, we are going to take it easy the rest of the weekend.

The weekend

We have had a busy few days. On Friday, we babysat Jodi's son Ethan during the day. Jensen got to play with him all day, and I got to see how it is to handle a 2 year old and a 9 month old. Honestly, it was not too bad! The boys had a blast together. Later in the afternoon, Jensen and I went for a walk and he hung in the swing for a bit. He absolutely LOVES swinging. He cracks up laughing and squeals with joy!

Saturday, we did some shopping for clothes and toys. Then Sunday, we had lunch with Bonnie at PF Changs. Jensen was so excited to meet Bonnie, he even gave her some open mouth kisses! After lunch, Jensen and I headed to have his portraits made in his costume. He is going to be a turtle for Halloween.

9 month check up

Justin and I took our baby doll Jensen to his 9 month appointment today. The appointment cut into his naptime, so he was not on his best behavior! Today, Dr. Hill checked how he was growing and she also did the usual checks - eyes, ears, nose and mouth. He weighs 19 lb 2 oz and was almost 29 inches tall! He is in the 25 percentile for weight and 75 percentile for height. Go Jensen!!! We pray you will be TALL!! She was happy with his numbers. He is just tall and slender and that is okay! Poor baby had his finger pricked to check for anemia and he screamed bloody murder!!!! He also had a flu shot. He has to go back in a month for another flu shot and then back for his next shots around a year. All in all he is one healthy little man.

Newbies

Well, we are new bloggers here! So, we will begin with a little bit about ourselves. We are the O'Hara's - Courtney, Justin and Jensen. Jensen was born January 19th, 2008! He is quite the busy body. He has been crawling since he was 5 month old, so he is a pro crawler now. He walks while holding onto the coffee table and the baby walker. Jensen is such a smiley little guy and finds everything to be hilarious!! It's hard to believe he is about to be 9 MONTHS! He is going for his 9 month check-up tomorrow. Check back soon!
